From intimate poetry evenings and karaoke nights to grand Diwali stage productions, every BKSP gathering is powered by volunteers. We believe the arts and literature of Bharat belong to every generation of the diaspora — and that they thrive when shared, taught and celebrated in community.
Based in Surrey and serving Metro Vancouver, we welcome artists, poets, families and newcomers alike. There is a place on our stage — and in our audience — for you.

Our Vision
To be a vibrant cultural home for the Indian diaspora in Canada, and a proud torchbearer of Bharat's 8,000-year civilizational heritage — carrying forward the spirit of तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय (lead us from darkness to light) and वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् (the world is one family), so that every generation can experience, learn and celebrate the timeless arts, literature and wisdom of India.
Our Mission
To nurture Bhartiya kala, sahitya and sanskriti through inclusive, volunteer-led events, research and creative expression that connect artists, poets, families and friends across communities in Metro Vancouver — building awareness of Indian art and literature, and aligning our community with its roots.

We live by the Indian value system and the ancient philosophy of vasudhaiva kutumbakam — “the whole world is one family.”
BKSP is politically non-partisan. We are not affiliated with, or funded by, any political organization.
We cooperate with organizations that share our causes and philosophy, working together to strengthen Indian and Canadian values alike.
